City for Everyone

Competition results

Team Shirting’s modular hanger multi.hanger, the colourful curb ramp for cyclists Rognik and the reused printed fabrics of Rusty white (Zarjavela bela) were the projects that won over the jury of the mentor programme City for Everyone, which is part of the international FabLabNet network. With RogLab providing mentorship assistance along with project partners, the authors developed their prototype ideas and made them a reality using 3D and other maker technologies.

The competition set out to find projects in the field of product design, fashion design, art and architecture who stand out by a particularly creative use of 3D technologies, who develop eco-friendly and socially responsible products and contribute to a higher quality of life for both individuals and the community. 16 projects were entered.

The jury members were Luka Mali – Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Kristijan Tkalec – Kersnikova Institute (Biotehna, Rampa laboratory), Karin Košak – Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, Katerina Mirović – Forum Ljubljana, Meta Štular – RogLab, Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana and François Friderich – RogLab, Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana .
The three selected projects are the product of a collaboration between the authors and mentors, and were created between October 2017 and February 2018.

The project is part of the FabLabNet, which is co-financed by the Interreg Central Europe programme.
