The invited curators Margo Konings and Margriet Vollenberg (Dutch studio Organisation in Design) have chosen 90 works from 27 countries for the exhibition from among the entries received in response to the international call for entries based on the theme "Design Relations".

The BIO 23 exhibition provides an insight into what new and fresh trends are happening in the contemporary design field. The selected works for BIO 23 show an impulse in the way in which designers and the works they create are influenced by modern technologies, digitalisation and globalisation and how they embrace the resourcefulness of nature and its processes. Throughout the history of BIO, industrial design has always been a primary focus. Today, this area of design remains highly important in the wider discipline that is design; therefore, a section of the BIO 23 exhibition is dedicated to products selected from the field of industrial design. The works selected for the BIO 23 exhibition are divided into four main categories: Technology, Digitalisation, Globalisation and Products.
